Colour driven by emotion - Creating Romantic Pastel Abstracts Collection

Writer's picture: Rum FreemanRum Freeman

Freeman has approached her latest pieces bravely, diving into the darkest and most intimate of human emotions. The intensity of her feelings can be seen both in the subject she paints, and the way she uses the paint.

Freeman works on a base of acrylic paint before layering with the distinguished pastel tones of oil paint. Each layer, each colour, each brush on the canvas brings life and nuances to her characters. Freeman’s paintings show passion, defiance and resilience.

Nouveau Départ Acrylic & Oil on Linen 90 x 120 cm

Depending on the light, the angle or the viewer’s mood, Freeman’s paintings display different emotions. Spectators will not see and feel the same things, as the paintings will attract them in different ways.
